I QUIT SOCIAL MEDIA...sort of
Hey readers, looking through my subscriber list, it dawned on me that some of us may not know each other very well. As you know, I’m Amy. I coach people making transformations in their lives. I love working with people who are hoping to become more creative or hoping to use a creative practice to fuel change in other parts of their lives.
Most of my clients have come to me originally because they were at their wits end and didn't want to suffer their heartache, anxiety or frustration anymore. Others came to work with me because life got "lifey" and they needed some help pivoting through those big hurdles. Most of the time, my clients just felt a little stuck. As I work with my clients, they experience relief, validation, hope and so much more. The most exciting part of being a part of their transformation is when they grow so much that they actually make space in their lives for more of what they want- to do the thing that makes them feel more alive. Some of my clients have discovered their gift of writing. One has the beginnings of her first a novel. Another client has turned her passion for photography into the beginning of her business, while another client turned her childhood home into a rentable space for the community and turned her passion for yoga into a side business. THIS is what I am talking about! I could go on and on, but you get the point! When we have the supports in place to do the work, we can make room for the kind of life we've always dreamed of.
I have also done this in my own life. Through the coaching that I received (and still get on a weekly basis), I have also made space in my life for my own creative journey. I paint abstract and affirmational works, as well as the occasional feminine form. In 2025 I'm even venturing into some 3D sculpture!
How about you? What do you do? What brings you here?
We're officially one week into 2025! I know some people who already “hate” their new year resolutions and feel like they’re just a long list of shoulds. I know others who haven't even thought about what their new year resolutions could be. To me, looking in, both of these sets of people seem like they need more rest and someone to dialogue with. Do you fall into either camp?
I’m trying to remember that I’m still on the path, even if the calendar has changed. The work is still the work. And, I’m usually able to see and feel it working. I did, however, choose ONE thing that I wanted to do differently. I'm trying to scroll less in the hopes that it brings more discomfort and boredom and that this makes some room for more awareness and ultimately more creativity. So far, it's been HaRd. I cruised through an Octavia Butler novel simply because I picked it up every time I would have gone on social media. Yikes, I read that book quickly.
What about you? Where are you at with the beginning of this year? How can I help? Remember, our first coaching session is always free. I won't try to sell or schmooze you into a second one. That's totally up to you.
What would this year be like if you allowed yourself to believe that you have nothing to lose and everything to gain? What would this year be like if you allowed yourself to just change ONE thing?
Let's talk-
